Biography

Céline Vaneeckhaute is Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, and holds the Canada Research Chair in Resource Recovery and Bioproducts Engineering. She is director of the research team on green process engineering and biorefineries (BioEngine) and of the Centre de recherche sur l'eau de l'Université Laval (c-Eau). Her work on the recovery of nutrients, energy and water from residual materials and wastewater has led to numerous awards and distinctions, including the Prix du Québec Relève scientifique (2021), the Prix Honoris Genius relève from the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (2021), and the Young Leadership Award from the International Water Association (2022).
